Hydroxyls are the molecules in the outside air responsible for cleaning the earth. These molecules are not present inside due to the requirement of UV light for their production and their short life of only a few seconds.

Devices that generate hydroxyls and replicate this natural process to purify indoor air are now available. Once our machines create hydroxyl radicals, they initiate a chain reaction with pollutants, forming more hydroxyl radicals. This continuous and thorough cleaning process rapidly cleans the air and surfaces in a room, instilling confidence in the effectiveness of our product. This repetitive generation and replacement of hydroxyl radicals ensures that the system can maintain an elevated level of decontamination over time.

It is a powerful method for improving indoor air quality without needing all the air to pass through a central processing unit. This technology effectively eliminates tough odours and harmful chemicals, making it a valuable tool.

Hydroxyl generation is perfectly safe and environmentally friendly. It mimics natural reactions where UV light from the sun splits water vapour to create hydroxyl radicals, often called “nature’s broom” due to their ability to clean the atmosphere. This technology is suited for continuous use in occupied spaces, as it does not produce harmful byproducts like ozone! Hydroxyl molecules, or hydroxyl radicals (HO•), are naturally occurring and play a crucial role in cleansing our outdoor environment by breaking down pollutants through chemical reactions initiated by the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
